Banks Win In The Supreme Court Against OFT

November 26th, 2009

The banks have shocked everyone by winning a ruling in the supreme court. The supreme court has decided that the OFT does not have the right to question whether the bank overdraft charges can be investigated for fairness. What this means to over 1 million claiming customers is that they will not get paid out any time soon from the banks and building societies.

This  now leaves everyone who has submitted a bank charges claim in limbo land because the OFT will now have to take a different course of action against the banks that could take up to 6 years.

What I would like to let everyone know is you can still make a claim on credit card charges and PPI. So please do not hesitate to call the freephone number at the top of the page for a free consultation.

November 9th, 2009

Everyone with bank charges will know tommorow whether the banks are looking to payback customers who have been charged upto £40 for going over their overdraft limit. We all hope the banks settle their dispute and not drag this case further.
